Cylinder 2 Misfire Again, Car Won’t Start
Hey all!
I have an 2005 R53 MCS. I was driving somebody the other night to the Walmart down the road and gave it a little gas for some fun and started experiencing a Cylinder 2 misfire. This has been a problem in the past only once and changing the spark plugs fixed the issue that time. Since it was the same cylinder this time, I also went ahead and replaced the injector coils. I hadn’t tried to start her up after I replaced the injector coils a few days ago since I couldn’t do the spark plugs at the same time due to having the wrong parts. I finally got to do the spark plugs today.
Well now she won’t even start up even when I give it all the gas in the world. I know that the fuel injectors can be an issue for a misfire as well, but I’m out of money and don’t have a job and no other means of transportation. I did get it to start up but it took a while to crank and was idling hella rough.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem in the past and if so what the fix was. I can’t be without this car. I still owe on it and don’t have any money practically at all.
Important notes:
1. The threads looked fine on all of the cylinder ports (??) that the plugs go into.
2. I have an after market intercooler so I have to take that off to access the spark plugs. 95% sure I got that back on secure enough to not cause issues.
3. The car was working just fine before I gave it a little gas and then I let it idle for a sec in the parking lot and the Check Engine light came on and the DCS deactivated (or locked up?)
4. I drove it back home (about a 7 minute drive) on the misfire as I figured the last time it had one I drove it 3 hours to get it to a spot I could leave it for a few days.
Please help! I’m at a loss for what to do.

I am not a mechanic by trade. Just a few thoughts:
Have you checked for a vacuum leak? Primarily under the right side under the SC horn that little rubber elbow connected to the small vacuum line is prone to decompose. Are you able to do a simple smoke test?
Can you hear the fuel pump run before starting the car? If you haven't already done so - you may want to check the pressure at the fuel rail. When was the last time the fuel filter has been changed.?
