MINI *cough* van *cough* Stripes

Thought I'd share this with all of you. Close friends of ours, who just had their first child, announced to us the other day that they had, "Ordered a MINI."

Well, of course I was very excited! I guess that was the reaction they wanted because they then added on to their previous statement, "Van."

A minivan!? After getting me so excited!? Not cool! So, I decided to get my revenge. While the husband was away on business, and with his wife's consent, I got even with him. Below are the pictures of my handiwork in his garage...

Blank Canvas

"Geezth, hope I get 'em on straight... *hickup*"

Magic time!

His wife and I

Side by Side

"Wanna race?"

Even though I'm sure the stripes made the Caravan go faster, I think I can still take him in the corners! Maybe next week I'll install a Borla....

That "mini"van looks like an elephant trying to make people think it's a rabbit.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I think the stripes look pretty cool on the van.

I'll bet it does hellacious 180 bootleg turns with the e-brake now. Maybe next time your friend is away you could try some.

Too funny!

How'd you get him to smile? I didn't think minivan owners had a sense of humor...

PS Mebbe I'm warped cause as a tot, I had to ride around in my mother's new 1968 Camaro RS. No minivans back then

Looks good. I may have to do that to my van, until I can get my mini.

Now, how about a set of PIAA's for his first Fathers Day?

Dave.

Motoring around town the other day I spotted an old VW van with racing stripes. Wish I'd had a camera....

That's fantastic. I was just gonna post that you'd better watch out for the CCC. Nice job on the stripes.

I'd say they owe you dinner, at least, for the improvement.

Actually I was talking to a development engineer from the BMW advanced testing facility in Ventura and there is a mini " suburban " being tested. Talk about a interesting job, he has it

When I was stationed in Japan in 89-90 there were these little vans, looked like Tonka trucks. They had a 4x4 version and people would put little lift kits and brush guards on them, they were cute, kinda like a modern RC car. Never saw one w/ stripes though.

Also saw it there! HaHa But it looks good. Now maybe you need to get him a set of driving lamps, some fog lights! Or even better! Find a cheap set of MINI (Real MINI) tires! I'd like to see that! HaHa Good work though!

If the trademark enforcement people catch your buddy and his van will they steamroll it on tv?
