Found this video tonight not seen before (despite 8.9k views), which shows an interesting teardown. That engine was performance built with cause of failure being the #3 cylinder's plugged injector, noting the owner didn't state injector brand or size and no further mention of those or the fuel system other than a significantly lean event while tracking. I'd like to know if that was a dirty injector caused by poor filtration or a substandard injector? If the latter, seems a compelling reason to avoid "no name" budget knockoffs.

I'd guess that they were a reputable brand since he went full RMW with everything else --- he was runnin' hardcore max ragged edge at GridLife TrackBattle TimeAttack!!!

Found this viddie of him driving his 2003 RMW 1.8 stroker at NJMP circa 2019:


He's a member here and listed his street car for sale last year which was also fully built and running 450cc injectors of unspecified brand...

...with that car he had originally intended it to be used for wheel-to-wheel racing thus well-built hi-spec similar to his 2003 TimeAttack car.

Agreed, no-name injectors would be illogical WRT the stated $9k build cost but why then #3 plugged with perhaps low miles usage? Still seems more to be learned here.
