R50/53 Scratches Galore!!!!!!!!!!
Scratches Galore!!!!!!!!!!
Well now that I shut off on the mechanized car wash deal, because of my wheel, hey that ryhmes!! Sorry
. Anyway I decided to give Harmon some TLC last night and took him to my dad's company's hanger, the only place in the area that has drains in the floor. I washed it and noticed that there are many scratches, very fine ones, in the hood in about 3 places
. I believe these came from the same ol' car wash that screwed up my rims. But these are definetly noticable in the flourescent lights. I waxed the hood, and am going back tonight for the rest of the car, and they still did not come out or go away! does anybody have any suggestions as to how to get them out?
Also does anyone know how to get the charred look off of you exhaust pipes??
Have an awesome weekend!!

For the scratches try Scratch-X *I believe* And for the exhaust I just use a wet cloth and rub it. If i doesn't come off I use the chrome shine stuff I have to clean it. I'll look at the name for ya later.
To take care of the paint scratch and swirl issues properly I wouldn't suggest ScratchX. I hate that stuff. Horribly inconsistant and very coarse. What do you expect from our friends at AutoZone!
I would suggest you get Sonus #1, apply with a pure foam applicator. Rub in back in forth motions only. For dark colors you can even intensify the shine with an extra application of Sonus #2.
I have a LOT of different abrasives and compounds and I have been quite pleased with the ease of use of the new Sonus line.
