JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
There was a 1 wk delay in shipping and customs, but my Orranje GP2 wing came today. It's very nice quality and craftsmanship. The side blades are finished in a nice satin black and top wing in glossy gel coat. I will have the wing painted to match the chili red roof and leave the side blades in satin black.
All the required mounting hardware along with the optional, proper rivet tool are included...along with a cute air freshener and traditional gummy bear candy pack ;-)
I'll get the top wing painted next week then install it myself.
The OEM Mini carbon fiber wing on my car now will be up for sale - just the wing, not the base roof section which I need to leave on my JCW. The CF wing is perfect, not even a scratch. Send me a PM if you want to send a pre-offer.
Nice! I wanted to go with the Orranje, but ended up with the FUbrication due to availability at the time. From the pics I should have waited for the Orranje. It looks more like a factory piece with an excellent finish right out of the box.

Will you be posting pics of the install?
Agreed. Based on research I chose Orranje. They stopped production due to illness and death of one of the founders. It picked back up last month, and only 20 were available in this batch I got in on the group buy. I paid 385 GBP including shipping and rivet tool. Not bad IMHO.
All 20 got sold within a week so another production run is underway I believe. Yes, will drop off the top wing for red painting and take pics of install once I get it back.
Did you want to go with the OEM GP2 wing in CF ? Or just like the Orranje version better.
That factory wing up close is CF love.
Those gummies look good. Like the fizzy cola.
I went with the Orranje because it's a well built one, available at the right time, and priced well. I don't need the CF one which doesn't do anything for me ;-)
Bought a used white spoiler base off eBay and had it painted matching chili red to replace the factory CF wing and base. Had the new GP spoiler wing painted the same red. Took me about an hour to remove the factory CF wing and installed the new Orranje GP. It looks so damn good!

Well done. Well done. Surprised how good it looks matched to the roof.
thanks! you mean the paint? it was $450 to have the new wing and used base painted chili red. they did a perfect paint match and awesome job. it's one of the high end auto body shops around here called "true performance".
Just some wagons/hatches out there can't pull off wings, but MINI... Looks really good! It's amazing how aggressive it and how much it stands out, but it looks like it's meant to be there. Very nice job. Your MINI looks great.

My recommendation is tops for the Orranje wing. It's gotten so much compliments from Mini owners and non-Mini car lovers. The look really is more purposeful now.
I suggest that you have the paint shop file down or round out the long edges of the wing before t's painted. Given the way that the 2 fiberglass or poly pieces are sandwiched to make the wing, the edges remain sharp so paint has a hard time sticking at the edges. This could lead to chipping over time. I had the edges sanded down smooth before painting.
