They have the vin# so they have to cover the car. I also have a Toyota Tacoma with a super charger and they didnt ask or say anything about it. I think that its all about the vin # on some cars. I dont know but i showed them both cars and not a word

 

Regarding the difference between 18 and 22 years with insurance...

I got a substantial discount when I turned 21 (go figure) and then a smaller one at 22. For whatever reason, I think you're male and if I'm correct about that then there is a HUGE difference between female/male, particularly at 18 vs. 22.

So, to answer your question: yes. There's a substantial difference between 18 and 22. And if you're a guy that difference is even more substantial.

I'm so pleased that I'll be 25 in 4 months. My insurance gets cut almost in half then.

 

Not true about men. Actually the difference is much less for a guy. Women's insurance goes down with age with the biggest cut at 25. A 25 year old or older woman pays the least car insurance. A male, on the other hand, doesn't get many breaks. There is a SLIGHT price break at 25. But a male doesn't hit his lowst premiums until he's 30. The biggest price break for a man is when he gets married. That's a huge savings versus hitting the 25 mark - the 25 mark price cut is barely noticeable for a man. A woman, however, doesn't matter if she's single or married. Age is the most important.

 

I meant that the difference between a 22 year old female and an 18 year old male was "even more substantial".

My b/f pays TONS more than I do on insurance... for a Jetta... with an identical driving record.
