I originally used Bavarian Technic but it wasn't communicating or refreshing consistently. INPA worked much better with consistent results.
I think the error is wrong as it says seatbelt pre tensioner (or others said this) but other searches lead to air bag impact sensor, passenger side. I suspect this is correct as when I unplug the BLUE plug on the passenger side seat other errors come up. (the tensioner pyrotechnic charge circuit)
Which should be under the passenger side seat under carpet somewhere, correct? Can anyone confirm a sensor there? And if that error perhaps is that one. It is that sensor on other BMW's and such and it seems like on that mini reference thread.
I got this from Bentley, where is the Pillar thing they talk about? This doesn't really agree with what the other poster on forum said I linked about the small sensor under the seat.
They're mounted next to the rear speakers, behind the big plastic panels. It's a real pain in the **** to get them.
There's also impact (pressure) sensors inside the front doors, I'm not sure which one your error is referring to.
How does the dealer even know which sensor it is? The information isn’t clear and I have same info they do through factory software and Bentley.
I was going to try to confirm by unplugging offending sensor and see if a new error comes up. This seems like trial and error id like to know where it really is.
I’ve read about those rear ones. Someone said under rear seat I’ll look back in there and play with that one first.
Well guys, found the issue. Mechanical wire damage or mouse? Not sure. But pretty sure this is it. Thanks for help and hope this helps someone. There are two sensors in this location, one each side.
