Anyone have any idea of what this does?

My MiNi has a seat bottom sensor problem and I'm wondering If this is a workaround.

I emailed, but got no reply.

 

They claim that it works for 2002-2005. Maybe it does for 2002-2004, but 2005+ has a completely different sensor and the same emulator couldn't work for both types. The 2005+ sensor has a microprocessor that has digital communication with the SRS computer.
