R50/53 British Racing Green (Black or Beige Interior)?
British Racing Green (Black or Beige Interior)?
Still over a year away from ordering a MINI S Cabrio... My fav color at this point is BRG. I want the alloy interior trim and chrome mirrors...
So, I know that color combos are a very personal choice, but...
Let me know what you think..
Black or beige interior?
Black or Green top?
THANKS for your comments.
Regards, Glenn

I am not such a fan of the beige interior, but to each his own. I like the idea of the red tartan cloth with the BRG... THAT sounds like an interesting combo!

Here's my BRG/BRG

With black panther leather

BRG is a color that looks very different in different lighting conditions and also looks different when paired with other color combinations. BRG/W lightens up the car and BRG/B really makes the car look dark.
I wanted to tint the windows and thought it would look to dark to get BRG/B and didn’t like the BRG/W look. So I went with BRG/BRG. I love the look with a bit of chrome accents and the black contrast of the windows and grill.

Black interior all the way!!!
For a number of reasons
Black looks sportier, and gives the car a more racy look, the only set back is some people may say the seats get hot, but mine never did.
Cleanliness-With the beige, obvious dirt will show up more easily, as opposed to the black interior.
Flow of the lines-Contrast inside is good, and thats why its best too keep it just black, with siver. If you will notice, the dash is black and the inside door panels would be beige if you got the package-I have seen many of these cars and the color just doesnt seem to go right.
Also, the anthracite headline would sort of look goofy with the beige interior.
Its best to go with the black int.

Thanks, Lois! That is high praise from NAM's BRG Cabrio Queen! Sunnie is a GORGEOUS ride.
Glenn, you've got a tough choice ahead of you...IMO, they're both beautiful. I also went back and forth as to seats-- space cloth or leatherette? black or grey--and ended up with black leatherette (which I am very happy with) and anthracite trim.
I will give you the heads-up that the dark seats and trim do result in a dark cabin, as the interior of the convertible roof is basically black. Personally, I love the cozy feel of the cabin when it's all zipped up, but that is something to take into consideration.
I'm sure whatever combo you get you'll be thrilled with it. It's a great ride, top or or top down.
By the way, if you can't make a BRG decision, see my previous post: the Chili Red w/ black bonnet stripes in the upper left-hand corner of the photo is a stunning (NorCal Mini member's) MCSC with cordoba beige interior. Try that in the configurator. It's a real show-stopper!
Cheers,

Thank you all for your comments... This is such a tough choice, at least I have some time to wait. (too much time)
Guess I can't really make a mistake. At least I know it's going to be a MINI Cabrio.....
Regards to all, Glenn

It is a tough choice, Teri. I considered the green top & black interior also. I also considered reproducing "Louie" in Cabrio form. I still love the CR/B combo & it looks great on the Cabrio. A friend of mine just got her Cabrio S in CR

Hi Glenn,
I'm sure you would be able to handle the CR/Black no problems...but I hope I didn't cause you to give up on the BRG so soon! C'mon, Glenn, join us...

Color.....such a tough choice. The MINI is hot no matter what! I have Dark Silver, love the Pepper White, but wasn't available in an S when I got mine. After going to some MINI meets and seeing other colors, I then kinda wished I'd gotten something different. Then one day I had a loaner in Chili Red....and I felt so conspicuous! Another time I had an Indi Blue, by the end of the day I didn't like it that much. So, I'm glad that I stuck with my color choice.
Of course this means no disrespect to other colors. Just that your first preference is your first preference for a reason.
And then there's the interior.....I wish I'd gotten......
