R50 A/C delete.. No pulley

Hey Folks, had my A/c compressor seize up the other day and take out the belt. The Aircon has never worked since before I bought the car and I want to do an A/C delete but without the pulley that can be purchased to replace the compressor. Would anyone out there in Mini Land happen to know what size belt I'd need?

Thanks in advance!

I did a power steering delete on a previous car. I just used a piece of string to run along the route of the belt (bypassing the power steering pump) and then took that to the auto parts store. I said I need a belt this long.

I had 5 rib pulley's but the belt they had in the length I needed was 3 ribs. I ran it several tens of thousands miles like that with no problems at all.

I realize this is an old post, but could you possibly confirm that this belt works with the crank, alternator, tensioner and water pump in place? I saw that you didn’t list the water pump before and wanted to make sure that’s what you used it with before I did this myself. Thanks

Success

I did some trial and error belt fitting and found the right one. I have a 2004 US spec R50 track car and I have successfully deleted the a/c compressor without replacing it with an extra idler. I am now left with the crank pulley, alternator, water pump, and tensioner. This configuration also puts significantly more belt contact on the water pump which is a good reassurance.

The belt is a 6 rib and needs to be right about 876mm long. The Continental belt I found on Amazon was listed as a 34.5 inch belt, which comes out to 876mm. You can also look up 6PK0876.
