Thx to my buddy getting the gear selection and slop removal setup for me. He did that while I put stuff back together. Big help having an extra set of hand mounting back up the exhaust..
I trimmed everything and got the cuts perfect , they are very good actually lol..so all i have left to do it wait for the vanity cover to arrive that i found and ordered from etsy.
I took my time doing it so I didn't have to do anything 2x and it end taking a total of 8x hours and 2x days.. and all the up n down and in n out , every joint on my body aches..
all in all , honestly. Idk..I only took it around the block to test as it was about to rain and as much as I like the lock out and the throws into gear pattern I DO NOT like how notchy it is , maybe replacing the lever on my trabs will help a little but honestly , my shifter setup I made for 1/5 the price of this , had I not broken my bushing I would have rather kept that as is instead of spending as much as I did on this. The price to upgrade from what I had imo isn't worth it as of yet. Maybe I will like it more I use it , we will see..
but install ect was pretty strait forward. I was very impressed with how detailed and well printed the instruction manual was. I also definitely am impressed with drifthq.com , the got me this shifter from Germany in under 2x weeks from the day I ordered. I wish I'd bought the cables through them but I unfortunately didn't have enough at the time.. o well. Is what it is and my cables I had work just fine. I just woulda liked to replace them though..

For me personally, that "notchy" feel was one of the benefits, I like the solid mechanical feel of it. (But time spent with the unit is bound to either loosen it up or simply get you used to it as well)
But I think the short but very positive throw of the unit is its most appealing factor to me, esp the extra tension of the centering spring, making the 2-3 shift more positive and accurate under high speed shifting conditions (arguably the most important and used transition, esp on the street), when quite often there are many other immediate concerns other than "hitting that shift".
Good Luck with it, keep us updated no matter what, the more opinions on these types of mods, good or bad, the better for the community.
Esp when quite often performance and race oriented mods, while sounding extremely appealing and fun, can be a trade off and aren't really for everybody.
