The other morning I went to go to work and tried to clean my windshield and the wipers stopped working half way through the cycle. I thought it was just a bad motor for ground, but I found the bolt for the linkage loose. After messing with them for a little while everything seemed to work. Later that day I took it for a ride and on the way back I noticed the heater blower not blowing I decided to check the wipers. When I did they worked, but the headlights flashed a couple times and the high beams stuck on and the blower started working. It’s was really late so waited to check it out in the morning. Now the wipers don’t work front or rear and the blowers not working again. The high beams seem to work fine now.

I checked fuses, swapped relays and disconnected the battery. Nothing yet. I read it could be a short in the add on Blue tooth unit. Took that out, even completely disconnected the radio. I pulled the BCM and checked that for corrosion or burnt circuits. It looks new.

Any ideas?

 

Sounds like an issue with communication on the K-BUS.
Start by scanning the GM and IHKA for error codes.

 

Just a follow up, turned out to be the BCM. Ended up taking it to a local shop and he was able to scan the module. Bought a used one off eBay and now everything is working again.
