It has been months since I preformed the 15% Super charger pulley upgrade. That was the coolest mod I've done so far.
However for 7 months, since then, I've gotten and reset; an SES light = P0456 (Tank venting system ~ very minor leak detected) occurring every 4-5 start cycles. In my fruitless efforts to figure out the cause for the fault; Googling, determined it was probably a faulty Fuel Vent/Purge valve. Thanks to Pelican Parts and their pictorial tutorial. I realized I had replaced / inverted the "vent canister" - (upside down).
Proper orientation
My erroneous logic assumed the electrical connector should be oriented up. Wrong.
Flipped it around,(electric plug down). No more SES or P0456 fault for the last 2 weeks. What is the logic behind orienting the connection plug in the least in accessible manner???.... Beats the heck out of me?
As long as it works.
So I took the wife and son out for a ride in the Cabrio yesterday. My son has never ridden in a rag top before so I stop at a stop sign and go to drop the top. It comes back to sun roof but then the top will not fold down. I'm like what in the world??? I had no idea why it would not go down, well there are 2 arms in the back that have to be folded down and one of them pushes a switch to allow the top to fold down. New owner error!!

I come here when I need answers. I’ve never needed to post a question. I am well versed in searching before asking so I’ve never bothered to create an account. Until now, specifically, to reply to this post.
