Please Share Good Online Sources for Genuine OE Parts

I was highly satisfied getting OE parts from my local dealer, MINI of Kennesaw.

Would order online and pick up in person.

But they recently closed down which is a big bummer for me.

Next closest dealer adds an additional 1.5 hour round trip, and their parts dept. option for online ordering is closed anyway.

Found this place though which is BMW of Orland Park and ordered a few small things the other day.

https://www.bmwpartsworldwide.com/

The parts arrived very quickly and the shipping was reasonable at $8.

For whatever reason the parts listed under BMW were cheaper than MINI, so of course that's what I ordered.

Yesterday ordered a shift weight set 23-11-7-570-467 from them for $138.41 but shipping was $27.71

I'm finding some crazy disparity with shipping fees (and parts prices too, but less of a big swing) across the various sources which makes me input the numbers at different vendors to find the best deal.

In the past I've used and had good success with these two as well:

Flow MINI
https://www.minipartsdirect.com/

Cincinnati MINI
https://www.thebmwminipartstore.com/

Just looking for other suggestions that may come well recommended from you.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear of MINI of K's "passing". I bought an OEM JCW cat-back for my former R56 from them online.

Since then, major parts purchases for my R53 have been with BMW Parts Hub (Otto's BMW of West Chester PA). Not just for competitive online prices and no sales tax charged to my destination but for the extra customer service effort provided both times by "Anthony" (Toll Free 1-855-269-1880). First time was on the very spendy OEM replacement driver side door card, wherein he checked and confirmed just 3 left worldwide to match my VIN before I placed my order. On arrival from Germany, he personally inspected that and emailed pics confirming pristine condition. Contacted him again on the R53 JCW "red" coil springs, in which he checked and provided actual inventory count by P/N remaining in Germany before I placed that order. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them/him again...

I assume the other dealer you're referring to is Global since it appears Mini of South Atlanta is also closed...

I believe WMW can get pretty much anything the dealer can, can't they?

WMW / Way Motorworks is good. FCPEuro is also good. Oembimmerparts is good.

That’s a great money saving tip ordering using the BMW listed part number, but without actual pics or detailed descriptions/fitments is it possible you could have ended up with an actual BMW specific part, or is there no risk because the part numbers will never conflict?

Good recco thanks!

Great to read about the above-and-beyond service --- I had a similar relationship with my guy at MoK who would also check on quantities remaining over in Germany and was just an all around cool dude too.

I'll never forget the time I asked him to run part number 17517565302 and he audibly OMG LOL'd because the price was so high, and also let me know that according to his computer there was only 2 left in inventory.

Also,
brings up a very pertinent issue raised on Motoring File's most recent post -

It’s Time For BMW To Embrace MINI R53 Generation

I was also slightly worried about that but when the parts arrived they were all correct.

Most of these dealer sites have a VIN option where you input it and then parts fit is guaranteed,
but the BMW alternate doesn't pop up when you have that info inputted.

Many of the parts don't have an alt either as they just show up as 'discontinued' under BMW.

+1 for https://www.bmwpartshub.com (Otto’s MINI)

This is my local dealer and I’ve known Anthony for 15 years. Family owned business and always supportive of both the local BMW and MINI clubs.

OBS - maybe update your original post and list the suggestions and get this thread turned into a sticky?

With our new building we have a 14,000 square ft facility now and stock a ton of Genuine MINI parts, and we even bought up the last of MOK parts inventory when they closed as I still haven't been able to sort all the parts they had left.
So we are happy to provide any Genuine MINI part they make, and if anyone is local or traveling through Atlanta we offer in store pick up.
