Supercharger Inlet tube Vacuum Hose

Pretty sure I know the answer, but it’s been 12 months since I took the car apart…

The push connect hoses have ribs around them. The one into the supercharger I easily got pushed all the way to rib.

The two into the supercharger Inlet tube most definitely did not.

So two Q’s:
Are those hoses supposed to push all the way to the rib? EDIT: YES, yes they do. I finally got enough slack to get the black hose in all the way.
Any pointers on getting that to happen? It’s weird that both of them are hung up at the same point.

EDIT: sounds like the trick may be to loosen it at the MAP sensor. That’ll be my next attempt

Thanks
