We're does this 4 pin plug go on r52 automatic

Can anyone please help me find we're this cable goes on a automatic 2005 r52 it's off the main engine harness

Thanks for the reply

Hey no it's not off the power steering pump and its not the knock sensor or gearbox so I'm lost as to we're it could go

I have a stick and I have not seen a plug like that on my Mini.

Hi

Thanks for your reply,you won't see this on your stuck car as this is for automatic only and the 2 looms are different.

I responded to your other thread. That appears to be the connector to the "Start Inhibit Switch" on the transmission (CVT). Located on the back of the transmission, just above the pan. Number 4 on the diagram.

Hi sorry to say it's not the one from the gearbox the one one the gearbox is a 2 pin the one I have is a 4 pin plug

Are you sure you looked at the switch / sensor I was referring to? I know that's a 4 pin connector. It even shows the connector on the parts diagram titled "4 pole connector". The other connector on top of the transmission is different.

The connector is on the main engine harness, on the branch with the oil pressure switch and starter solenoid wires, it just keeps extending and reaches that switch on the transmission.

Here is a pic of the Start Inhibit Switch. You can see it has 4 pins.

Try to look from under the car, or in from the left side wheel housing, and you should see it.

It is possible I am mistaken, but based off your description and pics that should be it.
