A big shoutout to Shrevemini for getting my INPA up and running! Thanks Man!!
I get a connection fault but I think it's the cheap cable I got off Aliexpress. I have the other one with the switch mentioned in the INPA thread on Amazon on order.
We ran into town on Wednesday night and we took the Mini. The wife is impressed with all the work I have done and how well it drives but it is still not her kind of car. She is glad I love it, means we won't have to fight over it.

The new INPA cable was dropped off into my mailbox last night. It was too cold and late to make the treck to the mailbox to get it, we live at the back of 10 acres. I will grab it in a few minutes when I head to work. I am pretty sure that will fix the connection issues I was having and I can finally get that working. I want to see what I can do about getting the airbag light to go out and the keyless entry to work.

I still get a connection fault and language difference fault but it seems to be working. I can read and clear faults, Looks like I will be needing to learn a little german as all the fault codes display in german. I think it takes a little but of messing around with it to figure it all out. I might reinstall my original SRS module and read the software version and try to see if I can reset that one,but thinking it's highly unlikely.
I'm not even going to mess with trying to recode anything right now. I watched a youTube video on it but it may take me a few more viewings to attempt anything. If I brick an SRS module messing around with it I would not really be out anything.
I cancelled our cruise for June of next year, wife's order. We have decided we are going to take our motorhome to the beach for a week instead. Going to start getting the stuff I need to flat tow the Mini behind it after Christmas. Going to be awesome driving it up and down the strip!

After looking and weighing my options I think I am going to make my own tow light setup for the Mini.
One option was running the wires and then drilling a hole and installing an led bulb into the factory housing, not desirable to me.
Second option was cutting the factory wiring harness and installing diodes, did it on our H2 Hummer and don’t want to go that route again. The setup works great in the Hummer but I don’t want to cut into the Mini wiring harness.
Third is to make my own setup and have the lights sit on the package shelf. I can make the entire set up for way less than they want for any prepackaged light system. I can make it quick disconnect and take the light assembly out when I get to our destination.
The taillights on my motorhome are different than most because it has a separate turn signal in yellow instead of flashing the brake light, another reason I decided to do it myself. I make the whole assembly for less than $60 bucks.

I finally figured out it is the CV axle seal that is leaking and not the power steeing, I ordered a seal from Amazon weeks ago and of course they sent me the wrong seal. Lucky to have a buddy that works at Autozone and the correct seal will arrive tomorrow. But now my transmission is half drained waiting on the dang seal. At least it pretty easy to do.

I ordered new taillights for the Mini last night. They are going to really fresh up the back of the car. Since I hopefully got the last oil leak fixed yesterday I'm down to replacing/ fixing little things that are not quite right.
We finally decided what to get my little man for Christmas, It took about 5 hours and numerous phone calls to find one but I finally found a kids 4 wheeler. They are very hard to find and it's at a dealership about 2 hours from our house. Once they told me they had one available I bought it over the phone right then. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow after work.
My sons Xmas present.

I drove the Mini to work today and checked under the car before I came home and it is still dry!! I have it parked on the parking pad so I will see if it drips tonight but I think it's fixed. After work the wife and I drove over 2 hours one way to buy our little man's 50cc 4 wheeler. Glad that is done and 99% of the Christmas shopping is done too. FedX picked up the new taillights today so they are on the way.

I let her sit overnight on the parking pad and NO leak from the transmission seal !!! YAY!!! Matter of fact no leaks of anykind anywhere.
Going to try and remove the window tint from the back window, It's all scratched up and super dark. I need new tint and a lighter tint so the tow lights will show thru sitting on the package shelf.

Picked up a few things for Chief, on the way to the grocery store..
I must say; The pickin' were fresh today = Super clean and perfect condition for a 18 y/o junked Mini.
Chief, For your consideration with regard to needing body panels:
Although, the Mini pictured is an '04 - I didn't see a ding or (noticeable) scratch on it.
The caveat is; that the salvage yard is in Conley (30288).... quite a distance from where you live.
Notwithstanding; However I gotta say I'm a little annoyed that all the battery covers on the salvage Mini's were all MIA.
Either this must be a part that is easily broken / in demand....Or the salvage yard guys never toss them back with the car after they remove the battery

I know I am shocked myself!!
The clothes steamer worked like a charm getting the old tint off the rear glass without messing up the defroster. There were 2 layers of film on the hatch glass so that was one reason it was super dark. I really need to remove all the old tint from the whole car, all of it is scratched.
I took the steamer to the rims and man what a difference it made to them. I'd upload a pic but my internet is really slow right now.

While the Mini was brand new; I used to give my ex-wife a hard time about scraping up the rims.
During my travels, I refuse to park anywhere near any other cars in a lot. Preferably, backed in, along side a curb, (protecting at least one side of the car). Needless to say; I'm deeply ashamed of not only tearing up the rims...but giving my ex a hard time. As soon as I rid ourselves of those damn "run-flats" I never scraped a curb again. Unfortunately the damage is already done.
I found a set of Re-manufactured replacement (powder coated) MInilites.... Maybe early next year.
