Thing about this color is when you tell people your car is purple they either smirk or make a fart smelling face. But when these same people see the color they are like, "man that color looks really sharp." I have yet to find someone who doesn't like the color (but they have pointed out other things about the MINI they didn't like).

OK, I'm quoting myself here because I'm starting to feel bad about saying something bad about someone's favorite color. Next time I just won't say anything.

There is a PH/B MCS in town and every time I see it I think the color detracts from the look of it.

I'm sure there are people who don't like CR/W, so let me have it. Like, it's too common, red fades, cop magnet, screams "look at me", etc.

Anyway, nothing is more subjective that paint color and if you like Purple Haze better than the other choices....go for it!!

I don't think your quote was the worst meanest most awful thing ever said on this site.

 

When I couldn't decide between electric blue and purple haze, I showed pictures of both to my coworkers (who were as evenly split as I was) to help me decide. One said that he would buy the purple because he thought EB looked like a "chick car." So obviously he didn't think purple was a "chick" color.

I ended up getting EB, but I still love PH. Can you still get it with a black roof? I saw one with a black roof and bonnet stripes, and it looked MEAN and nasty. I also think that PH would look incredible with a Union Jack roof.

 

Oh you are talking Cooper colors here, I thought this thread was about that beer from New Orleans.

I was thinking of getting the U/J on the roof, i did not as IMOI the Blue in the flag would clash with the PH... Now a Blk/gry U/J

 

I agree that the traditional Union Jack would not look good with the PH, butyou are absoluely right that the Silver Jack would look great! (even better would be something custom in silver and black )

I think if you personally like a particular color than it's for you. I hve had many people tease me about the yellow MINI, but I love the color, the car alwys looks sunny and bright and never fails to bring a smile to my face when I hop in for a drive.

 

i still like the color selection from 2003.

 

My best guess is that MINI is witholding some pretty neat colors this year so that they can release some really eye-popping colors with the new body style in 2007.

 

I think your silver roof needs a monochromatic portrait of Jimi Hendrix. Then again, the cover photo from Are You Experienced (Purple Haze is cut one) has a lot of purple to it, and might work, too, if you can adapt it to a rectangular form.

I have to disagree. I saw a purple haze with a Union Jack license plate and the red/blue looked awesome with the purple.

 

I think purple haze looks great with the same color roof or black. White roof for a guy is questionable....thus the gas face. I can't seem to find a face that looks stinky like Pig Pen.
