Newbie Error - Ground Strap Overtightened

I made an absolute rookie mistake and overtightened a bolt while reinstalling the front passenger side grounding strap. This caused the actual ground mount to break complete in half (photos below).

Before taking to a local shop for replacement, has anyone found a simple and reliable fix to this in the past? How involved/pricey was your solution?

On a separate note, I've had intermittent issues with this grounding strap for a few months. I am driving perfectly one day, then when I turn the ignition the next day I get nothing. Until now, I have been cleaning/sanding the grounding cable connections and retightening. That has done the trick, but want to make sure there isn't a more serious issue at hand.

For reference, I'm driving a '05 Mini Cooper S Hardtop with ~85k miles. I appreciate all the help in advance.
