R50/53 Why do the seatbelts have velcro on them?

Why do the seatbelts have velcro on them?

My MCS '04 came with velcro on the anchors. I am about to pull it off seeing as the driver side is falling off, but wanted to know if the velcro serves some purpose?

"DAMN RICERS AND THIER VELCRO" LOL , BUT SERIOUSLY. I DONT THINK IT SERVES ANY PURPOSE. BUT FOR PUTTING A CELL PHONE ON IT THAT HAS A VELCRO HOLDER LOL JUST AND IDEA!

That's to keep it from scuffing your seat bolster.

It is to keep down on the noise. Plastic on plastic would **** people off.
