I'm having an issue where when you pull the windshield wiper stalk toward you (to spray and wipe with fluid) only the fluid sprays, the wipers stay at the parked position. I have to manually press down on the wiper stalk to clear the fluid. It was working fine 2 days ago, now all of a sudden it quit on me.

I checked all the fuses in the driver footwell and they were all good. I suspect one of the relays in the engine bay fusebox, but I haven't tested any yet.

Note: someone smashed by the rear driver side bumper before it stopped working. Probably unrelated though/

That sounds like an electrical issue...so I should probably not be responding (so bad with electrical). :/

do you have a Bentley manual?

that would lead you to the fuse and provide the electrical diagram.

also I replaced the windshield wiper control / lever just recently. Got it used here: allmagautoparts.com

found a vid on YouTube. Easy peasy... might fix your issue

 

I figured it would be something electrical, but hopefully it's not a major issue with the electrical system...

It was working perfectly fine, up until now. It's not a major thing obviously, just a little annoying to have to depress the washer stalk to wipe off fluid like a peasant. Why do it myself when the Mini does it for me.
