I will be hitting the road here soon from wherever I am in Idaho, rolling into my old stomping grounds by this afternoon if all goes well! It's been a grand adventure, so far so good!! The cat is doing great, the dogs are doing great, and my father is amazing. I don't know where he gets his energy, I hope I'm doing as well in my 70's! At one point I couldn't tell if I was hearing the supercharger whine, the cat, or the music but nothing seemed to be falling apart, so whatever! I am having a blast with a compressor at altitude, downshift, and it has all the power it should have! I had a Vett get behind me in the passing lane on a long uphill when I was stuck behind a truck. When it cleared and I was able to open it up it's just whiiiiiirr whooosh and whoa I'm doing almost 100 up this hill at 8000 feet. That Vett could not keep up until the crest, and then I settled back into a cruise and when he passed he looked at the car like "what the hell kind of little demon contraption is that!"

Ok Aaron...

Time to wake up. I have a few questions.

How did you MINI perform?
Average MPG?
Oil consumption?
Tire issues?
Altitude issues?
Cat issues?
Total miles?
Are you and your father still speaking?
Regrets?
Weight gain?
Any new found friends along the way?
Hangovers?
New smells/odors?
And the dogs?

Curious,

Monkey Juice

How did you MINI perform?
-absolutely top notch. Fast, powerful, comfortable and I'm 6'5" so hard to find comfort in any small car.
Average MPG?
-Not sure, didn't worry about it.
Oil consumption?
-I added about 1/4 of a quart after blasting my way through the rocky mountains, that's all I burned the whole trip.
Tire issues?
-none, glad I went with 15", so comfy!
Altitude issues?
- only for the other carson the road. It is a rocketship
Cat issues?
-none, have him a liter box every day and he did okay
Total miles?
-approximatley 2200
Are you and your father still speaking?
-oh yes, love my father, he is awesome!
Regrets?
-none
Weight gain?
-nope
Any new found friends along the way?
-had a rule number 1 with another mini at a gas station in the gorge, and then two Mini's waved at me in my old home town, didn't get any all the way across the country.
Hangovers?
-na, I just passed out when we got to the hotels...
New smells/odors?
-Hope not!
And the dogs?
-just crazy mutts like always!

Curious,

Monkey Juice
Good times

Took it to my friends house and he wanted to wash it and drive it! Got all the bugs off it and then I let him take a rip. So much fun on twisty backroads, woo hoooo!
I also uploaded a video from boosting up the eastern Oregon mountains. It will still go from 50 to 100 in a snap even at 8000 feet and up a steep grade!
