Audible knock(rub?) sound when going over bumps in road at 50mph+ with weight in back
Not sure if its my rear shocks/struts(original, r53 bought new in 2005) or its my wider set wheels(215/50 16) but I've been noticing a knock sound from my rear when I hit bumps in the road going at higher speeds with either heavier items in the trunk or a passenger/with passengers. Don't know if its a rubbing sound or its the shocks. I do have a rear sway installed also.
Anyone else have this issue or help me diagnose?

Check the fender liners to see if there are abrasions from the tires. I run 215/45x17 and they occasionally rub the liners. Also, your struts are 15 years old and it's way past time to replace them.
