Real nice MCS sold...

Someone got a sweet little ride. I think both the seller and the buyer did equally well on this deal. I would have liked this car for sure!

I hope the seller didnt just get screwed, If you look at the buyers feedback it is 33% because he has 3 sales and 2 of which he didnt complete and are negative.

I think, though it may be a great deal, the expense listed as "OVER $40,000 was invested into this car in order to make one of the most exhilarating cars you will ever drive regardless of price" is a bit of an exageration.

If you total the parts listed, they come to about $9700, not including the roll-cage. So, unless they include the cost of the car, and the rollcage is a few K, there is not going to be 40K invested.

Maybe they're counting the cost of labor to install everything, too.

They must be, plus car cost and tax. Just seemed like a misrepresentation to me. Know what I mean?

It's amazing how much a good ebay listing can contribute to the final selling price. The photos are great.

And people say aftermarket parts don't bring down the price of the car!

That is a crazy price for that car. I don't see $40,000 worth of stuff on that car. Also, if it will embarass cars costing 5x's as much, that would mean it would be beating cars costing $200,000+ That puts it into some real mean territory.

I would guess that since the guy was wanting to get the Porsche and didn't get want he wanted on ebay, he wound up trading it in to Hunting Ridge Motors and getting screwed on the deal (as they were comfortable to sell it for $26K and he had a bid for $29K on his unsuccessful auction) rather than just lowering his reserve so the guy that bid $29K could have it .
