Powder Coat on roof rail coming off

I own a 2006 R53 and the powder coat like paint is peeling off of the roof rail. Any ideas on how to fix that without going to Body Shop and having it redone. I was thinking of stripping off the remaining material and painting it Flat Black. Any Feedback is welcome

there's a post on here where a member used some kind of tape and just trimmed it down with a razor blade . it overlayed the strip . I have to do mine also.. To paint those little strips would require a lot of taping off and covering just to get it but that too is always am option .

Yes, those are the factory roof moldings (rain gutter) they have a texture and most people replace them or tape them off and paint with textured paint or that rubberized coating. 51137112079 left side and 51137112080 right side.
