Misfire issues

So I have burnt cylinder 3 exhaust valves twice now. I just fixed that again and replaced the fuel injector on that cylinder only.

While apart I just did a 15% pulley and 1 step colder plugs. These NGK plugs are gapped at 28.

Now I am having a misfire issue on cylinder 1. If I shut the car off, it stops but will come back. Could the gap on these plugs be causing this issue? Could it just be a bad wire or the coil? Can I test the injectors? I do have a p2097 code also.

Seems to really only be when going uphill under load.

Try swapping your #1 plug into 2 or 4 and see if the misfire follows it. I had a brand new plug with two hairline cracks in the insulator up at the top that caused a misfire I chased for over 6 months. I also have a 15% pulley with colder plugs-Just a thought.

You said you've checked compression as well, was that cylinder puff by much?
The ECU will interpret bad or uneven compression as a misfire as well.

I have not checked compression yet. I will do that.

Car drove great before the valve burnt up again. This is the second time I have done this. It's acting totally different.

Car will start breaking up then it really starts misfiring. I shut it off while driving and it stops.

I just wondering if it's not cyl one . I read a lot of times with certain code readers it will not always give the correct cyl number for the misfire . it could miss on all 4x and say it's #2 ect... I have some plugs I know for sure worked on my car with all the mods I have, so then you got my injectors n plugs that were working a1 ..i will send them free of charge for you to try if you'd like.
I wouldn't throw anymore money at it hoping it fixs it.. You should get a elm327 and try and read the live data of the sensors n systems ..

Adam, go ahead and send them. I appreciate it.

Also, I ordered the software and cable for the INPA and BMW software. Curious as to what will happen when I reset all adaptations. Like I said, I have the p2097 code that will not go away.

This is cylinder 3 spark plug. Brand new. What would be causing this? I'll assume the code reader is wrong and it's really cylinder 3 that's misfiring.

Definitely not right.
First off, exactly what plug is that? (Part number) and why did you close the gap, they should be at 0.032.
Second, are you sure that combustion chamber was good.
Do a compression and leak down test, any minute cracks in that head could cause that cylinder to run hot from extra un-metered air, which could also be why you've had to change those valves twice now.

That looks more like debris in the combustion chamber damaging the plug.

I did not close the gap. That's what they were out of box. I opened to 32.

I think these may be knock off plugs. They're bkr7eix.

Im sure they are knock offs. I read a lot about it before getting mine and exactly how his failed is how the fakes fail. And I bet it was the wrong heat range or something and might have got super hot and cracked which coulda caused his longing and stuff then heated n cracked.. Here's the box I've only ever been familiar with , and even then these boxs have fakes . the fake read made in China not japan .and the fake one too can have the real box with made in japan on it and ngk logo but it is faded out real bad and printed like **** on a flimsy box. Here's for sure legit ones I got thst I referred him.

That's just debris from having it laid down on the garage floor.
