Window glass adjustment?

I had to replace my drivers door window regulator and now I have a minor seal issue at the back of the glass down at the belt molding. I have made many adjustments to make it deal and seems not possible. I need to bring the glass in closer at that location. How can I do that?

Also thought maybe since the weatherstripping is molded to the old way the glass sat against it and won’t conform back maybe new weatherstripping is needed? Don’t know??

There are track adjustment screws on the bottom side of the door that might help.

yes that controls the in and out but up at the top of the glass. It didn’t do anything for the bottom. Thanks though

There is a little nuts on on the glass with tool and fine adjustments on the very bottom of the door.

can you explain a little better? Are you talking about where the regulator guild bolts to the plastic fingers that allows the tilt in/out movement? Or something different? Thanks!

The adjustment is to allow for the pressure the glass has on the window seal. By moving the adjusters toward the body of the car it will DECREASE the amount of pressure the glass has against the seal. so moving the adjusters away from the car body it will INCREASE the pressure the glass has against the seal.

If the door ledge seal is not snug, either the seal was not seated correctly or positioned properly when it was reassembled. See:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_7755

I think you are talking about Item #3 on the illustration

Put the window all the way down and inspect the way the seal is positioned to the door ledge compared to the other door.

Best of Luck.

Motor On!

Just saw this, JAbowders go it. The only thing i would ad when i did mine is their is a same amount of adjustment side t side and up and down also. You will see the slot on the glass is a bigger then the bolt going through it.

This is for fine adjustment when the window is closed.
