Its Here!!! Its Here!!......but

I can't pick it up. I am trading in my car and the guy that does it is only there till like 3-4pm and I don't get home from work till like 6pm. SO, on monday I have to take a half day to get my MCS. Oh, ALSO, for some god damn reason I can't get lower then 8.99% and I have GREAT credit. Has anyone from NY recently purchased at a mini? If so whats ur %.

I've waited this long and well, i can wait one more weekend. Its supposed to be a shitty weekend anyway.

LETS MOTOR! ...on monday

Congrats on your new MINI!

As for the financing, I can't speak for New York but my dealer here in MA (MoP) was able to get me 4.09%. With a good/great credit rating I would think you should be able to do much better than that, all things being equal. (age, job security, length of established credit, etc.)

I got mine financed through Chase in NY. The rate was 3.79% with quasi great credit. Give them a try and happy days!

Are you sure you have "Good credit"?

Something tells me you may have a couple of issues showing up on your credit report or you may simply have too much debt/income ratio.

Whatever the case, in your situation it is recommended to order a current copy (Can be downloaded online) from the 3 main reporting credit bureaus:

www.equifax.com

www.experian.com

www.transunion.com

Once you order these copies of your credit report, check for derogatory information and other items that maybe affecting your total beacon or FICO credit score.

8.99% APR is offered to customers with not very good but not very bad credit.

It pays to do your homework.

I just checked Chase's rates in Louisiana and with "outstanding" credit (their term, not mine) the best they offer is 6.24%.

I don't see how any one could negotiate it down to 3.79%. I believe you got that rate but obviously Chase varies their rates nationwide.

Sorry Teach, but my dog ate my hw.

The dealer is trying to play me. I threated to goto my bank and they (my bank) offered me 5.79%. Then...he calls me later today and says "hey man i worked my butt off and I got you 5.39%". They told me 9% and that was financed through them, I bet he didnt even run me. My bank didnt even have to run anything on me, I know the branch manager and he said without a doubt 5.79%. Once I told that to the Finance Manager at Mini, I get 5.39% a hour later through them.....lol....

Pickin it up monday.

I'm in California and got 4.15%, I'm 20 and didn't have a co-signer. I just had my credit checked by all three beauros and non less than 730. I was shocked...Anyways-It pays to shop around, 4.15% was way lower than what the dealer could do for me. Good luck

3.75%

I don't know how much interest rates have gone up in the last 17 months but back then I got 3.75% in new york thru chase. I learned long ago to negotiate the finance terms before I say yes to buying a car. You have the upper hand until you show you want the car and are ready to buy. Once they know you want the car is all over. Good luck.

I'm getting just over 6% in NY. I know I could do better outside of mini financing, but I'm using the mini select option and can't do that through any other lender that I'm aware of. I'm willing to suck up some extra cost because I know there is no way I could afford so much car now through straight finance options.
Have fun with the new Mini. I eagerly await the day I can pick mine up.
with envy.

Holy **** what a freaking car. For a 170hp car it really wants to go in every gear. I'm so tempted to rip her open but I have to wait till 1500 miles. So far I got 70 and counting.

Prior to my MCS i had a slushbox. Boy are my legs tired from driving around all night. I really have to say, the Manual on the 05 is absolutely awesome!

Compliants I have...I'm tall...and well my field of vision wasnt great till i figured out how to dunk the seats. Now im more comfortable.

Second thing, the PASSENGER SPEAKER is buzzing. Lol, you figure after 5 years they can really fix these little bugs. Lol, no biggie, I'll get it fixed later on.

Other then these lil quirks, i freaking love this car to death. Its a great ride, so smooth, I really can't describe how I feel. Even my father fell in love with the car after I let him drive it.

LETS MOTOR!

i'm in nj and got approved at 5.23 for 72 months. I do that on purpose just to be safe but overpay ever month so it works out the same, but anyway if i did 60 month it would have been in the 3.xx

Finance rate for '05 MCS

I am in NY and Towne MINI financed my MCS at 4.99% through Bank of America. Eastman Savings and Loan (Kodak's bank) would loan at 5.29% but will not loan any money on a MINI because they said it is an "exotic" car. Try not to laugh!

Hopefully our Mini comes in before Christmas. She is on the Liberty heading for Savannah. Will make a nice present, or New Years gift f she decides to wait.

My final rate ended up being 5.99%. I can live with it, because my broker got me insurnace that saves me $700 a year. Which he just called me today and said he switched my company. So, in the end I end up saving money either way.
