Anyone have issues with low oil pressure at warm idle? Using Amazon 5W30 and my oil pressure light comes on at idle after oil is up to temp. Thinking of switching brands or trying 10W40. Edit: 170,000 miles on the ODO.

Would switch brands to plain Jane, silver jug Mobil 1 5W30. Problem with going higher viscosity is less flow especially when cold. That can lead to starvation issues in remote bearings and well...you know the rest.

If you're talking about flickering low-pressure light at idle, two additional possibilities
>oil pressure sensor going / gone bad - mine did this at around 55K. They're heat sensitive and sit right next to the exhaust heat shield. Easy job, cheap part, but you'll need the special socket for it.
>oil drain back valve is broken or shot inside oil filter housing. When you pull the cover, the drain back valve is at the base adjacent to the filter spool. The anchoring tabs and/or the spring break. The Dorman replacement is reputed not to fit / work. The best (and possibly only) available replacement, short of buying a whole new housing, seems to be the Outmotoring 3D printed solution:

Thanks. Got a new sensor to try but haven't got the old one out. New sensor is 27mm but old is something smaller that I haven't figured out yet.
