SuperCharger Gauge

What are you folks running for a supercharger gauge? Many options so I'm trying to get a feel before I go buy one.

Get an OBD reader and put an app on an old phone. That way you can get tons of info to choose from without having to run a line from the dash and find a mount for the gauge.

Do you have any recommendations on OBD readers for cell phones.

If you're using an app on your phone it isn't an OBDII reader.

You're looking for an OBDII Bluetooth Dongle, you simply plug it into the OBDII port then follow the instructions on connecting to the Bluetooth in your phone. The app itself does the translation of the OBDII signal.

Very simple and inexpensive.

I use Torque as well and love what information it does provide. I have read the boost and it seems low which may be one of my many issues I am working on right now.
However, I thought that a boost gauge was a more accurate reading, not just in time due to the system delay, but that the location of the boost reading. I guess if it is reading it from the TMAP in the intake manifold it should work.

Please let me know if I am wrong.

That's correct, the only difference besides delay, would be possible gauge calibration, or a T-MAP sensor going bad.

While I prefer physical, singular gauges, the apps are great for having options in what to read or to see what you monitor most, to than add an actual gauge if you like.

Just be aware of the delay when using OBD. Mini has no CAN bus so the update rate is super slow - around 1Hz, so don't expect the needle to jump around on blips of the throttle.
