R50/53 Leaking lower radiator hose
Leaking lower radiator hose
I have an Ebay G Plus Radiator along with a G Plus silicone radiator lower hose. Ok, cheap stuff...fine.
However, I can't get coolant to stop leaking from the connection between the lower radiator hose and the lower radiator fitting. I am using a high quality breeze clamp but when pressure testing it comes dropping out. I am apparently losing coolant while driving as well.
Any suggestions on situations like this? No, I am not going to change my hose and radiator unless it was like some super last resort.

Although you say that you're already using a high quality clamp, I'd suggest trying another one just to see...
...something like ABA is what I'd go for:

After testing with an alternate clamp, if it still leaks then it's narrowed down to issues with the rad/hose itself.

Thanks, I think it is the angle between the lower radiator hose and the lower radiator which is causing the issue. How tight are you/can you really crank down on a lower radiator hose? It seems like back in the day you could tighten things until they didn't turn anymore. Do that now and SNAP.
I'll definitely try that clamp though.
