Coffee cup that fits well in our cup holders?

Has anyone found a mass-market insulated travel cup that fits well in our (front) cup holders? My favorite insulated travel cup has too large of a base and is too tall.

I recently bought a Mini and it has the big cup holder attached to the vertical rail. I'm thinking how I might make it go away, yet still drive to work with a cup of coffee. I've looked over various other cup holder solutions but I'm kinda "anti-clutter". Every aftermarket cup holder solution seems to add clutter. The perfect solution would be an insulated coffee cup just a bit more narrow at the base and an inch shorter then my old friend that accompanies me to work each day.

I ran by Walmart and found that they sell a pack of 16oz styrofoam cups with lids the fit perfect. Not ideal, but they do work.

I believe some one somewhere said that the Klean Kanteen tea tumble( 8oz) work. Can't find where I saw that.

I bought two. They don't.

Still looking for a solution without having to make a couple of custom travel mugs somehow.

Bummer,
I ended up 3d printing a cup holder that uses the current one and offsets it to the side. Works good enough

I found that a McDonald's small coffee cup works really well. The cup holds up to being used for a continued amount of time. A quick rinse and new coffee. I know this isn't a great option. I just use the cup holder in the rear of the center console for larger cups.

Thanks, I made that for my daily drinks, the top section fits my 1L sig water bottle and the lower one my coffee cup.

LOL! I was in the process of doing the fog light retrofit. Also that down pipe had holes in it from the coffee cup holder and was waiting for a replacement.

Lotter1, How might I dupe you into letting me get my hands on the 3d printer file? I've a buddy with a 3d printer and he'll print things out for beer. As long as it's good beer.

nice copy of a cup holder sold back when GEN1 was new! It was $$ cuz it was made from aluminum

there pics were from when I was selling mine .. it had broken in the section between the two cups so I fabricated a metal plate to repair/strengthen. It was held together with screws already but that's why you see some paint . . . and a crack!

the cup holder thing became such an issue in the early days that MINI sent all owners a mug that fit! I sold mine off years ago but it was just your typical metal insulated mug with a sippy cap (orange) and the MINI logo but the base fit in the cup holder .. .

I use a Porsche insulated coffee/cold water mug in my 2018 JCW cup holder.

This one:

I didn't buy it the local Porsche dealer SA gave it to me as a present one day. I used the dealer service department to service both my Porsche cars. Also at another time I got a nice full sized Porsche umbrella.

The MINI coffee cup that had a orange cap fit well, buts its nla now. Not toom many cups fit that due to being close to the toggle bank. I see people upgrade to the larger cup holder.
