R50/53 Clutch release rod bushing replacement?
Clutch release rod bushing replacement?
I finally found where my leak was coming from on my R53 and it turns out it's leaking out of the clutch release rod where it enters the transmission case. From the bushing I guess but how do you replace that?
It's not leaking from the slave cylinder it's leaking from the bushing.

There is no oil in the bell housing in that area. That’s where the clutch is. It must be coming from the engine (rear main seal) or the transmission front seal if it’s coming from inside that area. Either way you’ll have to take the trans out to fix.
To further diagnose- any evidence of oil at the engine/trans seam? There’s a very small hike at the bottom of this seam.
