Just called MINI USA, on the dock, not at the VPC yet. Wait, wait, wait.....

 

Ours too, wjklos, is sitting on the dock enjoying the salt air. For the last several weeks I've been happily tracking the Carmen without having to call ASK MINI.

Now I want to call every 10 minutes.

G'day lads and lasses. Called ASKMINI just now and asked Amanda if she could tell me anything. She said Die Frau arrived in the US yesterday (I didn't quibble) but has not moved to the VPC yet. Probably true of most or all ex-CARMEN-ites but I'd be interested to know otherwise.

we are hoping that the TITUS gets here Monday!!!!! who knows how long she will be at VDC but then our "G*MINI" will be loaded onto a truck for AZ.... we are hoping to motor by ????... *sigh*

 

There are many reasons for weekends being good. One extra one for me is that I don't have to sit in front of this monitor and constantly wonder where my MINI is because of this dag gone site. I get to kinda forget about tracking and be surprised on Monday to find that it could quite possibly be at or beyond the VPC.

The wait, being so close, is killer.

 

I just wonder if the wait in the VPC has anything to do with damage that may have occurred during the voyage. Those out quick, like LouiefromStLou, no damage. Those in for > 10-14 days - dented doors, smashed windows, etc.

I need to check where I was on the loading list. Sometime in the 10am hour if I remember correctly.

Also, everyone, I think we'll hit 10,000 views today! I believe that's ahead to the Feb Club - but we're gonna get smoked by the Aprilers.

I called MINI USA, again...still not at the VPC. HOWEVER, I did find out that the VPC does not work 24x7 like the factory does. Amanda said they have an early and late shift, and may or may not have a Saturday shift (presumably based on whether or not they're behind).

So, wherever your MINI is right now, is probably where you will be Monday morning...

BTW, we all have a "Delivered From" status on the WW site as of 8am this morning (2/28).

 

called ask MINI. We are at the VPC estimate 2-3 days in there and then on to the dealer!!! This is so exciting but we have to say goodbye to our really good Subaru for the MINI.

We were going to trade her in so that we didn't see her driving around town, is this silly?

 

Pictures !! We want pictures!! Congrats to all those who have or will be getting their new babies in the next couple days....just don't forget all us other "can't wait for March'ers" out here still waiting. We want to see all the new arrivals !! Kind of keep us going through this terrible wait....

Just figured out how to tell where our cars are.

Poco was made 2/21, and is waiting to sail on the Jingu Marhu (can't remember how to spell) on 3/03, and arrives in NY on 3/12. Yippee!!

Hey, We're on the Titus too. Except our red MCS is headed for the deep snows of the Tahoe area. I just hope there isn't a storm to prevent us from finally getting over the pass when the delivery comes. Last I heard the Titus was scheduled for an a 3/3 arrival date. Good Luck.

My wait will only be about 60 days. I ordered on 1/7, made 2/7, delivered 3/7 (hopefully).

Also found an itty bitty coffee mug for my itty bitty car today. Oh Oh buying accessories already. Spoke with my dealer this am. Said it's a possibility that Louie made it on a truck yesterday. They don't wait to fill a truck all going to the same place. He said the truck makes stops in cities along a given route. So I figure Columbus,Indy,KC,St Louis(the I-70 route) may all have their MINIs heading home

 

Where are all the people who claim not to be able to wait until March? Come on! Only 5 posts since I left for work 14 hours ago! As for the longest wait, I have been waiting my whole life!!(44 years) but I was put on a list in June.

 

Okay -- here's to keeping the flame burning during the dark time from boat to dealer. Seeing the Louie is on a truck already, perhaps Die Frau has enjoyed a similar fate?

I feel foolish calling ASK-MINI so often (is three times in four weeks often?) but I'm really starting to CRAVE having a new car. Between the F-150 that can't make it up the driveway in the snow and the Honda, which has just lost its heater fan, WE NEED NEW WHEELS!
