Bill,

You'd know better than I would. Do you see any sign that she's not? My glass is half full at the moment

Welcome to the club. I'm getting mine from New Country also (working with Ellen). So far it's been great; they're all very nice over there...

There are a few of us in CT. I'll let you know if we decide to get together at some point...I think it would be fun!

Mine's at the dealership since last Saturday, but I'm off on a business trip until Thursday night. I may pick it up on Friday, and I can't wait!

Well, I might be able to check in again this afternoon, but it is doubtful... I will be leaving for vacation tommorrow morning... and I won't be able to check MCO until after I have taken theoretical delivery of my new baby. St Louis gang keep an eye on my baby. I will miss all of your reactions to your March babies and this is sad. So enjoy your new experiences and I will share mine when I return.

Hi Scooper - thanks for the welcome.

I'm working with Ellen, too. I'd love to get together, except I live in Maine!!! We tried to buy this from a dealer in Peabody Mass, but all they did was holler "get in line" and laugh. They wouldn't even give us the time of day or a price, or anything. And, New Country Mini even offered to drive the car to Maine to deliver!!! I think I'll pick it up myself, though. Want to make sure it's broken in correctly.

That's funny! I have a friend from Rockport, ME who just bought an MCS in Stamford, CT last week because it was the closest one he could find to Maine!

Ellen's been great to work with (I actually just got off the phone with her...), and New Country is a solid, reliable dealer...we've purchased many cars from them over the years.

Horray for the 26th! The WW tracking site will update once cars are unlaoded, right? Kinda like how they said loaded on vessel? Not sure what the lag is from actually happening to getting updated on web. Why doesn't anyone life in the area of the port, so they can be watching, taking pictures, and updating us?! sheesh!

let's pray for whatever storm is brewing to not delay movement at the VDC!

Birdie,

If you are in waitlist status, the "*" won't be near any of your information, it will just be at the bottom. My MINI had this and then it disapeared when it was loaded. If you go back to the tracking site and put your VIN in, copy the booking number and then go back to cargo tracking and select "Track By Booking Number". Paste the booking number and click track. A list of all vehicles in that booking number will show. These are all on waitlist status if you had the "*" at the bottom. I hope that makes sense? I had 37 MINI's inlcuding mine on waitlist status. Only 1 didn't make it on. So you should be OK.

>>
>>MINIDean,
>>
>>Where had you seen that there was a "waitlist"? On the Cargo History screen I see an "*" means cargo is in Waitlist status, but I did not see an "*" near any part of my information such as Booking Number, Cargo ID, etc. Does this mean there is no "Waitlist" at this time?
>>
>>Anyway, very exciting to see this much progress since 2/14. There's been a change almost every day or two. I should probably do some work!

MINIDean,

Thanks for the help. I did what you said and I'm not sure that the results are that promising. There are a total of 242 cars "Waitlisted" (up from 203 this morning). BONZO has 161 cars in front of him, if they go in the order that appears on the website. Now, that being said, I'm sure how many cars will be loaded at a time on a single vessel. They may load 200+ per ship and then it's not an issue. We'll just have to wait and see over the next day or so.

Thanks again,

Birdie

Out of town on business so haven't been on for a few but you can show me as en route on the Tosca Bill....as of the 24th. So now the big question will be how long it stays at the VPC in jersey....guess only time will tell. It's so close but yet so far away!! all without any further developments to come...just a waiting game. Glad to see you made the Tosca MINIDean!!!

They will try to load as many cars as possible. A day or two before the ship pulls in they figure out how much room they have and start booking the MINIs(remove from waitlist). Where you are on the list has no factor on how the ship is loaded. On the day of loading, you can camp out on the cargo site and refresh your screen and watch to see when you MINI is loaded. Also, most of the car-carrier ships can handle 6000 cars.

I posted that not MINIDean, and the answers is yes but you will not see anything they post all vechiles as unloaded at the same time. MASS-UPDATE...I watched the site when 'TIGGER' got to Port Hueneme but they all showed up at the same time.

How have you guys been tracking the ships. I know that the Carmen's position was just assumed based on the route of a past ship. But in the past did WW post the cordinates of the the ships on a daily basis. Is there some website specifically for ship tracking? Lucy is on the Tosca and I was just curious to see where she is at.

wwweb put together the Ultimate Mini Guide here you can find out about tracking the ship from his link. I could explain it here but lets use others ideas and hard work.

Tonight, the TOSCA is estimated to be at...40.5N 18.9W. I'll be putting up a map later.

Gotta question bout the rain sensing wipers / auto-dimming rear view mirror... I didn't get them, but now wishing I had.. Does anyone know if it's available through the dealers after the fact? To me it sounds a little iffy on the wipers, but the mirror seems like it could be added, which is really what i'd rather have.

anyway, just wonderin... anyone on CARMEN, call MINIUSA tonight?
