Monza Pacesetter exhaust
Howdy y'all. I've been look for a low budget exhaust that sounds good. I have a R53 Mini with some light mods. I just blew the baffles out of the exhaust I have (One Ball mod). I've settled on the Monza Pacesetter exhaust. Does anyone who has this exhaust system have any good video to share?

If you go to YouTube and type in Monza pacesetter r53 I think? There's a video there. I was going to get it but decided to go muffler delete with a nice tip for now just to have some sound while I stack parts in my closet for a weekend full of installations. The guy driving obviously didn't do a great job at letting her sing but it doesn't sound too bad.. as a matter of fact, here's the link.

I can upload a video of my muffler delete later if you'd like. I went single pipe from the mid pipe around the passenger side of the battery box then out the center with an odd oval tip. Audio quality over cell phones and YouTube aren't the greatest but I was super cautious about going muffler delete after hearing some of the videos on YouTube, turns out mine sounds great.

I'm sorry for posting 3 times in a row like a straight up weirdo but I was just surfing the forums and found some complaints about the flex pipe on the pacesetter and some other bargain exhaust systems.. Apparently it's too short and users have been experiencing failures and leakage due to such. If you're looking for low budget I suggest going on Amazon or something and finding a tip you fancy. Take it to your local exhaust shop and have them delete the mufflers and weld the tip in place. Shouldn't be even $200 all together. My tip was like $50 super simple and the muffler delete was around $100

The drone is actually not bad at all. Kept the cats and resonator obviously. It does get a little buzzy when you're cruising around 70-80 but it's not annoying and you're still more than able to carry a conversation with your passenger at a normal volume. I've had cars that were so loud you'd feel like you were yelling all the time. That's not the case here at all.

I didn't bother with that one ball mod madness. Cut at the midpipe where it's still single, ran "straight" pipe around the passenger side of the battery box and out the center. The pipe had to come into the exhaust tip at an angle because of the lack of room between the rear bumper and battery box so make sure you go somewhere that has a good reputation because it takes a little bit of creativity haha don't want your exhaust tip to be crooked. I don't know about you but that ish drives me crazy.

😂😂😂 I had a feeling when I had made the post that you might be lurking here. Second clip does sound way better. How are you doing with the flex section? Guessing it hasn't been an issue for you?

Haven't had any problems with the flex pipe. I do have more videos I could post to youtube but videos don't do a justice how good it actually sounds. I will link them when I post them

Is it pretty loud with the cats and stock header or is it a comfortable tone? Right now, the straight headers I'm running are loud until I get it fixed. I love noise but I like to be able to hear too

It's deffinetly not as loud as some other r53's I've heard and for me it's comfortable you are still able to hear your self think and there is drone on the highway around 70 but it's not that bad if you have your rear seats up and some things in the trunck to block sound and yes I still have stock header and cats
