Brake question

Has anyone done a caliper swap using aluminum 4 piston calipers from another vehicle. If so what type were the calipers and did you have to make adapters?

Closest I have seen done is the BMW 135 brakes (which are the same as GP2 brakes) swapped to an R53.

I would think that if there have been other BMW swap kits something may match up for the MINI as the MINI brakes are all source right from the BMW parts bins.

I will tell you that the Wilwood Kit is a great option at a reasonable price and no headaches.

Might be worth checking out the 4th gen Miata Calipers. They come with Brembo's in some of the trim packages and the wheel bolt pattern is the same as a mini.

Seems like a lot of futzing around when you can do a complete front BBK for under $900. And know it was intended specifically for the car, will be lighter than any one piece rotor set up, comes with ss flex lines and has a host of easy fit pad options.

But I admit to being a bit biased.
