New injectors whp? halp mE

I wanted to know what whp the stock injectors are good for, I have 196whp with a 15% pulley and I have a 2% crank pulley on the way. Are injectors plug and play, do I need a tune, and are there any cheap injectors that will help me get to about 220whp?

With those mods I would say find a set of JCW 380cc injectors, no tune will be needed and they should carry you until the 215-220 WHP range once you get the rest of the supporting mods to get that kind of power.

Anything more than that and you'll need something larger, and anything larger than 380cc will require a tune / fuel scaling remap.

You "have" a..."tune".
You just may need a...different...tune.

He's got a base map for an entire geographic region that contains many climates, elevations, and fuel qualities and grades.

Several things come to mind and they all require a tune;
1.) If I were not planning on getting any other mods beyond the 380 injectors and the pulleys, I would still get a tune.
2.) If I were planning on making other mods, CAM/Headers or Cat-back exhaust, I would wait until those are done, don't what to spend money twice on a tune.

Your stock MAP is not setup to take advantage of the extra air from the pulleys and extra fuel from the larger injectors. You will not require a tune with the larger 380 injectors but your car doesn't know that it has them. Anything larger will require a tune and if I were getting a tune, I would go with Larger injectors..... Those are my school of thought... have fun...
