Difficulty Shifting

We have a 2005 MCS 6 speed with 146,000 miles. For the last few years, seems like once it gets hot outside (>85 degrees) shifting become much more difficult. New clutch and top motor mount. Cables lubed. No issues when it’s cooler weather. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Does it grind in gears? Make odd noises while driving?
Or is it just hard to shift? It sounds like the hydraulic clutch system may need replacing, as they wear out. Made of cheap plastic parts that will swell when they wear making less movement to disengage the clutch.

I'm assuming your throwout bearing was also replaced along with the clutch? How about transaxle fluid? Has that ever been checked and/or changed?

Thanks everyone. Yes, all clutch parts were replaced and gearbox oil. Yes...I’m puzzled too. Does not grind. Just hard to get into gear. Thanks. I wonder about the transmission mount?

Was the throw out bearing sleeve replaced? Work/non lubricated or replaced ones can cause trans to be hard to shift, as it will not allow the throw out bearing to completely disengage the the clutch. The part should always be replaced and lubed!

These cars use a linkage shift mechanism on top of the gearbox itself, and there's gotta be a way to adjust it. Pop it off the splines and bump it up or down one to move the position of the lever inside the car and thus change the leverage points. This is an essential step in other cars I've worked on in the past, so it's odd to have seen nothing about this as of yet on here.

Clutch slave cylinder might be bad or leaking.
