First off I would like to thank MCO for providing this forum to air opinions, info and grievances. It greatly helped me in ordering My DS MCS and certaily made the three months pass quickly. Also I would like to give a thumbs up to Charleston MINI and the staff, Dana Prato and Martha Crosby, for a super buying experience. No high pressure sales for add-ons, accurate info and MSRP price. Last but not least the car. The majority of my miles are highway so far because of the drive from Charleston to my home. In those 3 hours I found the ride very comfortable. I am 6' 2" and found the seats were firm and supportive with good adjustment. The seat leather also has a good fit. No bagginess as has been mentioned in previous threads. The gearbox is unbelievable solid. Nice click In each gear change. A little difficult though getting into reverse. I expect it to loosen up as time passes. As for engine noise all I can say is it is worth the price of admission. Great sound and the vent cover behind the rear seats makes it that much clearer. Fit and finish appear first class. I can't wait to head for the mountains to do a better test of the go-kart feel. I'll report what I find in a month or so. Final thought....the wait was worth every minute!!!

I don't know if it loosens up or not, but it'll get easier b/c you'll get used to it. Same with say a heavy door that takes more force to close. After awhile, the door won't get easier to handle, you'll just grow acustomed to it.

Congrats and enjoy!
