I bought a Mitshmoto radiator hose and the top hose clamp that supports it below the intercooler is too small, any suggestions on getting a properly fit one? I don't want to pinch the hose
You might want to go with a normal hose clamp (think '63 Chevy) rather than the BMW-specific ones that require special hose pliers. I bought those pliers in order to use the stock clamps and have never been so frustrated in my life trying to get a clamp to clamp, particularly in the tiny spaces they sometimes reside. I've yet to figure out why BMW used that bizarre and almost impossible-to-affix hose clamp that came on the car (and requires a special tool). But then, I've also yet to figure out why they put two mufflers in succession on a Gen1. I'm sure there are other strange design peccadillos I've yet to encounter.

i second this. The BMW clamps are the bane of my existence. I switch them over every time I replace something it work on some where I have to remove it. Originally Posted by cooper48

I’m not talking about the end hose clamps, this one is more of a support clamp that bolts into the section below the intercooler. I use the worm gear clams to connect hoses for sure.

I'm guessing you mean the support clamp that bolts to the intake.
The only thing I can think of is to search "cushion wire clamp" on e-bay or Amazon, and just try to find the correct size for that hose.
It's either that or make your own, if you don't want to simply zip tie the hose in place, the clamp only holds the hose from moving around
For those that need assistance with the factory hose clamps, you want to but a long reach locking hose clamp pliers like this:
