I didn't call aksMINI, but like yours, Jim, ours says delivery 12/3 in the owner's lounge.
I haven't heard a peep from our dealer, though.
What about you?

Hey Norman
Same here, not a word since September when he e-mailed me with production #
So, I was wondering.
Do I call him or wait for him to call me?
Any suggestions?
Jim
Unless my dealer made a mistake, my Mini arrived today and will be available for me to pick up on Wednesday (a Hual Triton passenger!). It goes witihout saying that I can hardly wait to get my hands on my new car!!

That's about the same level of attention I've received from my salesman.
Well, the owner's lounge site says the dealer may know more than what's shown there, so I think I'll call my salesman this afternoon, see what he knows.
So far I've had a good relationship with my salesperson, and emails and calls never seemed to be a problem. If you have a question, call. You're spending a lot of money for a product, and as a buyer you should feel able to call your vendor without fear.
I would think a sales person wants to build a relationship, becuase you'll end up servicing your car with them, buying Mini "stuff", add-ons, etc. Not to mention a second Mini.
If the sales person seems annoyed at the call, they are really trying to make the maximum $ with a minimum of effort. Ask them if they read email, and then communicate that way.
Just my 2 cents.

Oh, he's pleasant enough and returns any calls I make promptly enough but he doesn't volunteer or initiate anything.
I think he's busy showing and demonstrating cars and if I hadn't learned about so many things in this forum, such as the programmable options, I doubt he'd have mentioned it.
In fact, when I asked about that some weeks ago, he said, "oh, yeah, they had a form to fill out," and he'd fax it to me when the delivery date got nearer.
Well, the car's about here, but I'll have to ask about the form again and anything else I want when I call.
Even though I'd expressed a strong interest in the expensive dealer installed CD changer at the time of the test drives -- the option of cassette tapes or CD was a must-have requirement for Charlotte -- he's never mentioned it again. Now I'll probably do it myself.

Hi, Jim.
I called the salesman today, and said, "Hi, where's my car now?"
Salesman said, " It came in today. I was going to call you."
OK. he's busy. A lot of cars came in, he said. He says the paperwork takes about two days, so we may be able to pick it up Thursday.
He faxed me the bill of sale which I need to get a temporary plate (I'm in a different state than the dealer).
I see he added $95 for floormats, which I never requested but would have agreed to if he'd asked, so no problem.
He didn't offer or try to upsell any other items. I appreciate the no-sales-pressure approach but I wouldn't mind be offered some options. I might have gone for one or more, as I previously wrote about the CD changer.
He didn't mention the programming options until I asked again, and he finally faxed that form.
What have you learned about your car??
Norman
I'm just back from picking hers up and I assume many of the others that were on this boat already have been delivered or will be soon.
The car was great fun for me to drive home. It has lots of cool features, handles great and wants to rev.
Good speed to everyone still waiting.
