Im gonna pull my front end off again today to see if I can find where the coolant is leaking and check my fuel injector/water pump and thermostat, I saw something I'm not too sure of and when I stuck my hand in there to feel it, one side is flat, and the other side has what seems to be an opening like there should be a hose or a line going into it but it has nothing? It's gold colored whatever it is

makes sense.. so it's not supposed to have anything connected to it?
