I have never had a car that heats up as quickly as my MINI does. I went out this morning and my car was completely iced over (if it had been my Honda it would have meant the ice scraper) but I defrosted and the ice just melted right off, making my life alot easier. Yet another little reason for me to love this car! Now time to see how she stands up to some snow......

I'm always amazed how quickly the interior cabin heats up on auto, despite barely hearing any air flowing! This car is sooooo cool!

Well, its a 1.6L engine... if it doesn't heat up everything fast, it has issues...

WOOO! 300th post! only like 725 more to catch up with L. Mini... who appears to be in the lead! Someone needs to trump her! Rocketboy?

Hmm, maybe if I had PAID ATTENTION I would have noticed that 2minis has her beat... it was right in front of my nose. Never said I was smart... but hey, I *do* go to Kent State University, or "Kent Read, Kent Write, Kent Duck, Kent State" (I added the duck part in... in reference to the KSU shootings, lol. I'm sooooo evil!) #301!!!

Fading fast? Sorry....tomorrow is the new deadline day and I am SWAMPED at work. Just taking a quick MCO break to save my brain from meltdown.....

Nobull....this is why I will most likely be moving on down to Ft. Lauderdale within the next couple of winters!

Sounds like a good idea except for all the people and the fact I bet the skiing sucks!! I'll stay up here in little empty Oregon where I can have 6 months of heaven on snow...even if it means a little bit of ice!!

Really good to see that nobody had to say the joke out loud, but I do like it that at least a few of us got the punch line!

Waterskiing...yeah it's alright...but it's not snow skiing! Try telemark skiing...picture yourself doing lunges for 8 hours down a mountain!

You obviously have never water skied. Otherwise you would no. I have done both and yes snow skiing his very demanding but, the water beats you up like a rag doll. Try that for 8 hrs and your legs will be as short as a midget and your arms as long as a gorilla.

The car doesn't heat up quick, if you're a total reject like me. My first time defrosting, I pushed the little snowflake button. It took me about a few minutes before I realized that I turned the air-conditioning on

Taking my Mini to the true cold this holiday weekend when I have some fun on the roads through Yosemite. You all need to be in Cali where I drive 1 hour east to the snow, or 1 hour west to the beach......no moving needed!

Yup, Lauren, you'll be hit tonight... we already have at least 2 inches over here. Sprog was coated in ice... and I didn't have a snow brush! lol. Interesting drive home, I'm glad for that nice rear wiper.

The heated washer jets are also great! I live in the "mountains" so to speak. Not really, but it's higher than the towns around me. So much so that almost half of the year it's 40 or below at 5:30 in the morning.

My point is that there is ice on my windows in the morning from October to almost April. I let my MINI warmup for 1 min and then squirt away with the warmer washer jets and then wipe and go!

And yeah, the engine warms up really fast! Even in 30 degree weather he's at normal operating temp within 3 minutes!
