Replaced Starter, now no Power Steering

Ok...so I just got done replacing the starter on my 2005 MCS 6spd with the awesome help from Mod Mini's video on YouTube. Fired right up! Then when I went to back down off the ramps, I noticed that I now have NO POWER STEERING!

The pump has been whining for the past few years, but never got worse or lost power steering in it. I'm assuming the problem it's somehow connected to replacing the starter, but I also guess it's possible the PS pump crapped out while it was sitting there.

I'm whooped right now after all of the reaching, contorting, and busted knuckles doing the starter, so I wanted to ask if anyone had any thoughts?

Thanks!

Is it possible that you inadvertently disconnected the power cable to the P/S pump when you were changing the starter. They are in very close proximity to each other.

You did disconnect the battery correct? If not, and regardless, have you verified you have power to the pump? The 100 amp fuse for the PS pump is on the bottom side of the engine area fuse box.

Thanks for the replies...Mike, you were spot on. Apparently when I slide the heat shields back and out of the way to get to the starter, I must have inadvertently pushed the main power cable's anchor out of the little metal tab that keeps it from coming unplugged which then cause the main power plug to come unseated.

As soon as I dropped the fan and looked, I could clearly see the yellow seal on the power plug showing so I knew right away that was the culprit.

Thanks again for the responses!
