R50/53 Passenger Airbag Sticker
Passenger Airbag Sticker
I just purchased a new '05 Mini Convertible and I am awaiting its arrival in December. I have been perusing the bulletin boards to see what I can learn before I receive my new baby. When I have been looking at shots of the dashboard I have seen in EVERY picture is a GIANT yellow sticker on the Passenger Airbag. Is this sticker removable? What does it say? If I have just spent this much money on designing the perfect car and now I have to stare at some ugly sticker I am going to be very upset.
Please tell me I there is a way to get rid of this sticker!

My MA asked me if I wanted it removed while we were going over the car. It came right off.
I later removed the stickers from the sun visors. That required soaking them with rubbing alcohol.

The longer it stays on the harder it will be to remove. Pulled mine off at the first traffic light driving home from the dealer when new.
I spoted an '02 a few months ago with the sticker still on....

Peeled mine off no problemo the second I left the d'ship (federal law prohibits dealers from removing it, although many do anyway) My CR dash was actually cleaner under the sticker, because the sloppy pre-delivery detail job left icky residue everywhere else. Jimbo
PS for those who removed the visor stickers with rubbing alcohol, how did U do it?

Other people actually removed the visors and soaked them. Then they say the sticker just lifts off, all nice and neat and easy.
If you can remove the visor and soak it, I recommend that. As for me, I wasn't prepared to do that, so I rubbed and rubbed.
At first, the vinyl sagged, but in the cool night air, it tightened up again. Just be careful on the driver's side. Side-to-side rubbing may slightly curl up the vinyl strip that is meant to hold papers, etc.
