hardtop MCS. Ordered it at Peabody MINI and they had 5 MCS allocations open at the time.

Granted the systems were down on Sunday, but I can't imagine all 5 were taken by Monday morning.

Glad to be here!

Hyper Blue/Black w/stripes, Prem, Sport Package, blue dash, interior chrome pkg, leatherette and anthracite headliner.

Funny thing after I laid out the deposit I convinced my mother to go by and test drive an MCS. Let's just say she ordered on the spot! Chili Red/Black MCS nearly loaded! I think hers is scheduled to be completed on Nov 7th.

After 16 years of VW's this will be a nice change. Perhaps it's time to lose Vedubauman and become MiniCooperman. LOL!

Hello everybody, first post here...

I just want to get this straight, from the time you place your order to when you get your car is about 4 months?

I am going to order a MCS for my college graduation and I want to time my cars arrival with my diplomas arrival.

Ordered in Sept - hope to get by early Dec!

I placed my order with Mini of Mountain View in mid September. My MINI finished production on the 22nd of OCT, and according to ASK.MINI, it is now in transit! Unfortunately, it takes about three weeks to get to the West Coast, so factoring in time spent at the VDC as well as the holiday, I expect to pick him up the first week in December. The wait is excruciating!!

MCSC
Purple Haze Metallic/black roof
black bonnet stripes
premium, sports and cold wx packages
chrono pack

My little ones

I ordered two MCC
According to the dealer Tate of Annapolis , MD the S (MCSC) takes longer because has higer demand.
In fact, "Streghina" MCSC (Dark Silver Black Top , Sport and cold Pkgs, GPS) although ordered the first week of Sept. is scheduled for production for week 49. I was promised before Xmas delivery.
Stellina The MCC (Cool Blue, Cold Pkg. GPS) ordered Mid of Sept. is already on the way to the States aboard of the Cypress. She should be in NY by the end of the week and should come home on or about Thanksgiving.

For the first MCS (Streghetta) I had to wait 6 months; from Oct. 2002 until May 2003. It was worth the wait. I feel sad I have to give her up

MD STREGA2

PS : I will be very curious to know who are my little ones' trip companions

Just called ASK MINI and "Maxine" is in the body shop getting all dolled up - still has an estimated completion date of 11/5. So if all goes well - 35 more days .

I just called AskMini and my projected completion date for production is Nov 11th ! I ordered Charlie' ( MCSC, BRG w/black top, stripes, prem/sport/cold weather pkgs) on Oct 4th, and while the wait has been excruciating, it's worth it. Here's hoping for a nice Christmas present.

Vessels for the rest of the year

I have attached a photo of the sailing schedules from England to CA for the rest of the year.

The ships are as follows;

Vessel; Vessel Abbreviation; Car Capacity
Takara; TKA; 5,720
Boheme; BOH; 5,882
Don Quijote; DOQ; 5,873
Isolde; ISO; 5,293
Manon; MAN; 5,882
Maersk Teal; MTE; 4,347
Figaro; FIG; 5,234

Remember that they carry cars from other mfg's, in other countries and they also off load some of those cars in England.

Hello all. I'm new here and recently (10-7-04 or so) ordered an '05 Hyper Blue/White MCS. Mine is in the paint process and scheduled to be completed by 11-8-04. I can't wait...this has been the longest I've ever had to wait for anything. Judging by reading previous posts, it should take approx. 4 weeks to get to me from 11-8-04 or so, am I correct? Looking forward to hanging around on here a lot.

How do you get your build week?

My MA indicated my MCS would go into production the last week in November. I ordered on 10/20 and received a production number from my MA right away. The Owner's Lounge shows my status as On Order. I am buying out of state so I won't see my baby until January...

Maxine has a Booking Number

Just found out that "Maxine" is booked on the Patriot which is scheduled to sail 11/12/04 and arrive in Charleston, SC 11/23/04 so my wait is coming to an end. My MA said she would be here by the first week of December and it looks like she's right on schedule - I just hope there's not a foot of snow on the ground when I pick her up. Anyone else booked on the Patriot ???

Mine is still sitting at the port as of yesterday. Can I just sleep for the next 3 - 4 weeks to end the madness?

Congrats, Linda. Sunnie was on the Patriot also. As far as the snow is concerned, the last time we had a BIG snow here in St Lou was 2 years ago on Christmas Eve So probably no need to worry. Hang in there.

Looks like my mother's MCS made it onboard with you. I got hosed and mine shipped on another (non- WW ship) carrier last week.

Don't feel bad about not getting on the Patriot - it looks like "Maxine" was waitlisted as well or on another ship. My Vin # disappeared last night. I have contacted my MA, but so far no response. So if anyone sees Maxine, a Chil Red/Black MCSC with black bonnet stripes wandering the English countryside send her back to the docks - she has a very anxious owner awaiting her arrival.

Hey, even better: I called 1-866-ASKMINI and it said "Your vehicle production is complete; awaiting carrier". That was much faster than I expected. I ordered from Classic exactly one month ago.
