ordered mine early october and it is now showing awaiting transport. My mini dealer said it should arrive in 3wks.

 

This whole shipping tracking is making me insane. My car was completed on the 3rd of November...was hoping to make the Liberty but did not. For almost two weeks the car doesn't show up on the WW site. My mother's car was completed on the 8th and showed up being booked on the Patriot on 10/10...but no sign of mine.

Now today my car finally shows up on the WW site and it has * beside the VIN #. Where has my car been all this time? I'm hoping the * means it got stuck on another boat and has already left the port. I bet you Vets that have already gotten your car(s) years/months ago are laughing at us Noobs...

 

Nah, because some of us 'vets' are going through this process all over again. :smile: Mine has been scheduled for the Patriot, but I won't count on that until I check it's status after the boat sails from Southhamption.

 

Maxine was also completed 11/4/04 - showed up on the WW site 11/8/04, disappeared off the site 11/9/04 and now it's back on again also with a * next to the VIN #. Maybe this means "First Class Accomodations"!!!!!! Ask Mini knows nothing, and my MA is not returning my messages , so I guess I'll just wait for that phone call to come to bring Maxine home.

From what I can gather from the tracking threads at MINI2, the "*" means that your car has been waitlisted. This must happen when you get "bumped" from your original booking.

Sorry I can't provide any additional info...

 

I just checked and mine's scheduled to leave on the Patriot tomorrow. I can only hope that it's true!

Yes, Vedubauman, Maxine did make it on the Patriot :smile: I guess she threw a big enough fit that they let her board Now all we can do is hope for a smooth ride

That's great Mark - I'm glad he made it. Now as far as getting to know Maxine - he had better be a "gentleman" as Maxine can be one tough lady

Like I said, don't count on being on a boat until after it sails. I was scheduled for the Patriot but now that it has sailed I'm scheduled for the Freedom. and I never had a '*' by my order.

 

I ordered my 2005 MCS (FLASH2) on 11/02. As of today, it is awaiting transport, so hopefully I will have it before the end of the year. It is booked on the Freedom.

If anyone knows someone that wants a super-clean 2002 MCS (DS/W/Bonnet Stripes), let me know! I will be listing it in the marketplace soon.

Called my MA (Julie at Classic Mini) to put a little more $$ down on my MC. Though the MiniUSA website has me still "On Order" she told me I'm on something called "112 Status" and that my car is scheduled to be built the second week of December. Sounds good. It's amazing though--some of you ordered right about the time I did (10/22) and yours are already done and waiting for transport. It's OK, my goal has always been to get my little
BRG MC in January, after the holidays when nothing much is happening and the weather is bad and we're all depressed after the hubbub that is Christmas/New Years. It will be quite a "bright spot in the nighttime" (who recognizes that song reference???).

 

That's great news Aaron - let's hope Flash2 and Maxine will meet at our next club meeting. Maxine is currently on the Patriot which left port on the 16th, so right now she is either lounging around with an umbrella drink or experiencing a bout of "sea sickness". I know what I would be doing, so I hope she doesn't take after her new owner !

I'm in the same boat (no pun intended ) except I'm due for production the first week of December, but still no firm production date. I placed my deposit on 9/13 and got the order placed at the factory in early October.

I think the production of MC's was slowed in order to get more cabrios in the pipeline, hence the reason a lot of folks that ordered MCS's around the same time you and I ordered (or later) already see their cars shipping. I wouldn't mind so much, but now it looks like I won't see delivery until January either and that may mean another $500 due to the increase.

My CB MCSC is scheduled for production and MINIUSA updated the tracking with my VIN...... It is scheduled to be out of production on the 2nd of December. My VR/W MC was born on 12/3/2002, the new one is 1 day shy of MC's 2nd b-day.

Our MINI was scheduled to complete production on Nov 24th. The ASKMINI automated response still shows it as in production, but I finally broke down and asked for customer relations, and according to them it has completed production and is on it's way to the docks. I noticed the Takasago sails on the 25th, don't know if it's too much to hope for on making it on board.

 

Sent an email to MINI via the OL to verify that the anthracite headliner and rear fogs had been added to my order (they weren't showing on the OL spec) as my build week is coming up (week#49) and I wanted to make sure everything was in order.

Received their reply today that not only is my spec correct on their end, but my MINI went into production yesterday (11/23) and is scheduled to be complete 12/3!!

Woo Hoo!!!

 

Since this thread has been idle for awhile I thought I would revive it Just found out that Maxine has an estimated delivery date of 12/5/04, which is a Sunday so hopefully I will be able to take her home within a couple of days from then I guess I need to let my boss know I feel a "sick day" coming on so I can pick her up. I'm sure he will understand as he's been asking on a regular basis "Where's your car today ?"
