R50/53 Mini Front Driving Lights......
Mini Front Driving Lights......
My 2004 R53 has almost every option available, but did not come with the front driving lights....I would like to add a set
I am not wanting to spend a great deal of money on a new set from Mini or BMW, I was thinking basically an aftermarket set.
I think the 5" round set would be fine....
Can you all show me your car with the lights mounted? What brand did you use...
Picture on my car without lights for now....and yes, I changed out the chrome front grills for a black set....looks better in my opinion

You can buy the OE brackets, and mounting hardware from ECS Tuning for about $40. Stainless steel brackets or stiffer, heavier gauge brackets can be had for $40 - $75. The PIAA 510 driving lights can be had for about $100, including wiring. Plus an OE switch if you want the look of a factory install.
Pelican Parts has a good "how to".

I had the OEM rally lights fitted to my MINI from new, so all of the brackets, wiring, etc, are already there. I removed the chrome original lights because they give about as much illumination as a birthday cake candle. I have a set of PIAA 510's that I am going to fit after I do the black "Aero" style mesh grill conversion. I might go with the MINI Mania heavy duty brackets to stop the lights vibrating too much, but haven't decided as yet.
This thread will give an idea of what other members have done with their lights.
