I wonder if they would custom add the side air bags? (I have an email into them)

No they will not custom make the side impact airbags. You can do a search on these as well on this site. They will not be offered in the US as well.

I was under the impression that they now will be, unlike before. The photo even shows them in a left hand drive car.

No?

SCHWING! Nice...

Maybe I'll just get the sparcos.

I was holding on and hoping the airbags would be in the JCW ones...

LHD = Europe as well as USA, so that photo could be a German, French etc. spec car.

Without the side air bags these would invalidate your US MINI warranty. Apparently these aren't made by JCW anyway, they're simply re-upholstered Sparco (Milano ??) race seats.

So what's holding them back from the US market? The lack of airbags?

You can order them as JCW seats and still have the heat, so that's not it.

WOW, what great looking seats. Are the Sparco seats comfortable enough for a daily driver or are they real hard to spend hours in.

MSFITOY, If that's your car? SWEET!!

Do they recline as well as tilt forward to let people in the back seat?

Yes and yes. There's a quick release for flipping the back forward and a large **** for fine angle adjustments.

I found out today from Sparco US that they are Sparco Milano Prestige seats with the logo and Mini style *****, wheels etc. Other than that same seat. Sparco sells them (and they are instock in the US) in Leather and faux suede. Leather is more that JCW and the faux stuff is less. I also confirmed from JCW in the UK that the only reason they are not in the US is the airbag.

From memory $1599 and $1399 a bit high but once you have done everthing else they sure look good and all that adjustment. I know in my stock "sport seats that my butt moves around in hard turns. I have a few more things to do but those seats will be the frosting.

I have Dinan intake, Unichip, Borla street, 15%, Konis, Hsport springs, Hsport sway bar, BBS RV-F, Power slots and 2500s, factory bike rack,

I have Webb throttle body coming and then I will add a header. Thinking of adding AP brakes and then..........seats.

I have it pretty bad but no where near as bad as some.

I have discovered Minis are a great hobby.......replaced flying and a lot cheaper.

I love what how you have put your MINI together. Who's splitter is that with the adjustment and where did you get the shift boot, that's perfect, it's so clean looking. Way to go, you have great taste.

Thanks again Ken You can get the splitter from M7. Peter's very cool (wink, nudge). The shifter boot is for the Tiburon but sadly, is no longer in production I hear.
